⚠ COPYRIGHT SHIT? READ THIS BEFORE YOU BOTHER US ⚠
1. What is DMCA?
The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) gives copyright holders a way to request that infringing content be removed. If you own content and see it on GroundZero without permission, this is your route. Don’t be lazy—follow the steps below.
2. How to Submit a Takedown Notice
Send a proper DMCA notice via email to our support address with the following information:
- Your full legal name and contact information.
- A clear description of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed.
- Exact URL(s) where the infringing content is located on GroundZero.
- A statement declaring under penalty of perjury that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and you have a good-faith belief that use of the content is unauthorized.
- Your electronic or physical signature.
3. What Happens Next
Once we receive a valid DMCA notice, we will remove the infringing content ASAP. The user who submitted the content may be warned or banned depending on severity and history.
4. Counter-Notices
If a user believes their content was removed unfairly, they may submit a counter-notice with their contact info and a statement under penalty of perjury that the content was removed in error. We will follow the legal requirements for counter-notices under DMCA.
5. Important Notes
- GroundZero respects copyright, but we are not responsible for content uploaded by users.
- Falsely submitting DMCA claims can get you banned or face legal consequences.
- We may update our DMCA procedures whenever we feel like it. Keep checking.
